why am i not surprised that you made your rounds again?
nevertheless, today IS monday. and it has been an interesting one.
for one thing, we've been busy (as we usually are).
we also acquired two new people today at work.
one of them is replacing ashley, and the other is a new girl in accounting.
the head of accounting came in and introduced her to us today, which was nice.
(even though, chances are that i'll never see with and/or work with her.)
the woman who is replacing ashley came into our office with our VP today.
he introduced her to my boss...
... and then completely bypassed me and heather.
and walked right next to me (LITERALLY RIGHT NEXT TO MY DESK) to introduce her to christine.
isn't that just peachy?
and they wonder why so many of us don't feel valued here.
then, after returning from lunch, heather and i noticed that my boss' light was off in his office and his door was shut. and that NEVER happens, really, unless taylor leaves for the day. but it wasn't even 3pm and we had no idea where he was. when christine came back from training the new girl, she explained that apparently taylor rushed out and home because he was sick. so... there's that. did i mention we have a big project to get done by wednesday? no? we do.
apart from that, today has been weird without ashley. :(
i'm so used to her popping in for coffee in the morning and IMing to ask how our days are going.
but she is onto bigger and better things, so i am happy for her.
my weekend was a lot of fun!
friday was obviously "renee" which was fantastic.
saturday, i met up with my friend and her boyfriend at panera for lunch.
and that was nice because she lives about two hours away so i haven't seen her in a while.
then saturday night was SO much fun.
my friend sarah (not the one who deleted me from facebook and acted like a child) hosted a wine & board game night. so i went over and hung out with a bunch of her friends, including my best friend and some people i haven't seen in a while. and had lots of yummy food. and i discovered that i actually like riesling.
then we played catchphrase (there were 16 of us. sixteen!) which was hilarious.
and then we played telephone pictionary which may have been the most hilarious thing ever.
i definitely recommend that game. :)
i've started reading "the hunger games" and can see what the fuss was about. it's quite good so far.
i also started series 2 of "downton abbey" this weekend. looking foward to finishing that up!
so... yep. that's about it. still job hunting.
still coming up empty. oh well.
